2020 Linear Logistics Bankers Hall Club Pro - Am Feb 5 to 9.
Jan. 13, 2020
Hi there and welcome all participants to the 2020 Linear Logistics Bankers Hall Club Pro Am squash tournament! A few things for you to take note of and be aware of right now:
The tournament is now full and a wait list is in effect as of yesterday. If you know of someone wanting to play please encourage them to email me (email@example.com) to be put on the wait list. This list will be used to balance out draws and of course to replace a person that drops out in the same division of play.
Top seed in the PSA event is defending champion Leonel Cardenas of Mexico who is ranked #62 in the world right now. In last years tournament in the first round Calgary's own Andrew Schnell had a match ball at 10-9 in the fifth game versus Cardenas but the Mexican held on and went on to win the tournament. Fast forward to our 2020 event and those two will again battle in the first round!! Andrew is a past winner of the Pro Am so this should be quite the first round battle! The top six seeds are all ranked in the top 100 of the world making this one of our most competitive draws in many years.
A huge thank you once again to our Title Sponsor Linear Logistics (Andrew Wheatley and Dean Duffin) as well as our many other sponsors. Please if you come in contact with these two and any of the other sponsors please thank them for their generous support.
Those that had time requests thank you for giving me those in advance. Once the draws and times are done it is quite difficult to "undo/reschedule" times.
The Mens PSA event begins on Thursday February 6th with some matches at lunch time and some in the evening. The quarter finals are on Friday February 7th, again with some matches over the lunch hour and some in the evening; semi finals will be Saturday afternoon with the finals on Sunday afternoon.
